Network-level signal coordination scheme based on vehicle trajectory data

With the help of the sampling trajectory data, we can identify the “major flows” in the urban road network, and then coordinate the traffic signals on the basis of these major flows, so as to reduce the travel delay of the whole network. Compared with the existing signal coordination methods, our method can deal with the “non-straight traffic flows” in the network more flexibly.
